This client wanted mantel pilasters that would match the details of the architectural columns in her living room. I couldn't get a picture of the fireplace and the living room columns together but  trust me, they matched.

These Left & Right hand BARLEY TWIST turnings added a light and whimsical air to this bedroom fireplace.

This massive mantel was designed for a home with 12 foot cielings. It was made completely in my shop. This mantel measures 68 inches tall by 70 inches wide. The pilasters are 8 inches wide and are fluted over traditonal left and right hand ROPE SPIRALS. The scounce was made to reflect the fluted details of the pilasters and is mounted on a raised pannel breast. The mantel shelf is serpentine shaped with a decorative applique. 

This mantel surround was made completely in my shop. It is 5 feet tall by 7 feet wide.  The shelf has crown and dental moldings that match the ceiling molding.  The pilasters are 6 inches wide and are serpentine shaped with flutes topped by rosette blocks.
