This odd fellow is a sample piece showing various styles. From the top, the stlyles are: Barrel contour, Rope & Cove left hand, Traditional Rope right hand, Reeds, Flutes, and Diamond pattern. It is a solid, one piece column, except for the top and base and measures 8 inches wide by 7 feet tall.
These "Pumkin" bun feet were designed to fit under massive built in shelves making the units look more like armoires. These feet measure 6 inches tall by 8 inches wide and are made of paint grade Poplar.
These custom made pedestals feature traditional right hand Rope Spirals made of white soft maple mounted on constrasting, highly figured soft maple bases. They have 6 inch wide shafts and are 40 inches tall.
These are split "End blocks" & "Spools" and are used on cabinet fronts in conjunction with split dowels. I have made the end blocks and spools in many differnt lengths and widths with corresponding split dowels.
Piercing or Hollowing a turning can add a dramatic affect to your project as shown by this Rope Island leg.
