Many high end home designers are developing kitchens that are included in the living and entertaining areas of the home.  And what better way to showcase your kitchen than with custom turned island legs. These "Barley twist" legs are 4 inches wide on the block ends and are 34-1/2 inches tall and are made of Alder.

This home won TOP HONORS at Homearama 2004 in the Charlotte, NC.

This client wanted a bold look for her kitchen and designed these columns.  They are made of cherry and have a 6 inch diameter shaft with 8 inch diameter flared ends. The tall ones are 29-7/8 inches tall and were used on an island and the short ones are 24 inches tall and were used on top of the counter to support the stove vent hood.

These slender, elegant legs were used on a small kitchen island.  Theses turnings transformed a small, boxy looking island into a virtual piece of furniture, becoming the focal point of the entire kitchen.  They measure 2-1/4 inches wide on the block ends by 34-1/2 inches tall and are made of Cherry.

This client wanted something completely out of the box.  She designed these barrel shaped turnings for her bar area.  They measure  4-1/2 inches wide in the middle and taper to 3 inches on each end. The legs are made of paint grade Poplar.

These massive turned legs really achored this large kitchen island. The island legs measure 6" x  6" x  34-1/2" and are made of knotty Alder.

These legs were custom made for the HOMEARAMA 2006 home show in Charlotte NC.
